Daniel Polley

Daniel Polley is a registered patent attorney who has been practicing exclusively in the fields of patent, trademark and copyright law since 1990. Dan has significant experience in preparing, filing and prosecuting patent applications in a wide range of technologies, including business methods, electrical, mechanical, medical device and software. In addition to his patent prosecution practice, Dan has a substantial trademark practice and significant experience in filing and defending opposition and cancellation proceedings in the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Dan is a South Florida native, born in Miami, Florida. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Florida Atlantic University (FAU). While at FAU, he was a member of Tau Beta Pi. Dan went on to receive his law degree from Stetson University College of Law. During his legal education at Stetson, Dan served as an intern in the Consumer Affairs Division of the Attorney General's Office in Tampa, Florida.  ​

Dan has been admitted to practice before the Florida Bar and the Southern District of Florida since 1990. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, the Middle District of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. 

Dan is a member of the Business Law Section, and the Entertainment & Sports Law Section of the Florida Bar.  He previously served on the Board of Directors for the Florida Atlantic University Alumni Association.

In his free time, Dan is a bass player for a small band. He also enjoys spending time with his family, especially his dog, Peanut, and finding new shows to watch.
